Our Services

Here at We Care we strive to help as many people as possible, regardless of their background, lifestyle or disadvantage. While we can’t do everything, we remain committed to doing something to make a difference in our local communities. We have a number of different programs aimed at assisting everyone – from children to teenagers and single adults to families. Together, we can make a difference.

We Care for teenagers

We Care runs weekly mentoring and positive lifestyle programs in a number of high schools that assist students in dealing with anger, depression and other developmental issues. This is a great opportunity to help fringe students to reengage with school (and thus to stay in school) as well as helping them expand their social skills to better integrate into society.

Helping Hand Day

We Care has gained an excellent reputation in the media and community through our annual Helping Hand Day. Over the years, Helping Hand Day has assisted thousands of families during the Christmas season. Thousands of food parcels, items of clothing, toiletries, toys and much more are distributed, completely free of charge, to the community in one day. Our Helping Hand Day in particular attracts many families that cannot afford to buy gifts for their children. The event provides a sense of joy and relief to parents and children who would have otherwise faced a Christmas without any gifts. This event has been running for 20 years now and receives regular media coverage because of the many people that are assisted on the day.
